Places To View The Tour of Britain Cycle Race Route Through Surrey Heath

There are several places to see the Tour of Britain cycle race in Surrey Heath. Stage 7 of the race begins in Camberley, which is the place to be to get up close the stars of the race – Sir Bradley Wiggins and more. Remember, the race starts at 10 AM, and will have left our borough in Mytchett in a little over 20 minutes later.

So where to view the race?

There is the King’s Head Harvester on Guildford Road in Frimley Green. Why there you might ask? Well, while the race starts in Camberley, winding through Camberley, Heatherside, and Deepcut, it doesn’t officially begin until the Start Proper, which will be by the 30 mph sign on Guildford Road in Frimley Green. You can view the leaders come racing over the Canal Bridge by the King’s Head. Sadly, this is a spot where there won’t be much viewing room, though there’ll undoubtedly be refreshments at the King’s Head to compensate.

Here’s the route through the borough, up to you to choose you vantage spot. The race will arrive at the Start Proper at 10:18 AM,

Start, Park Street in Camberley, then along Park Road, Upper Park Road, Church Hill, Crawley Hill, Prior Road, Upper Chobham Road, Cumberland Road, The Maultway, Deepcut Bridge Road, over Deepcut Railway Bridge turning onto the B3012 Guildford Road where the race proper begins, then to Frimley Green into Sturt Road, finally leaving Surrey Heath along Mytchett Road.
